Weddings

The following images are a small sample of the work carried out by our designer florists.

Flowers are such important element for the "big day" that it's always worthwhile seeking the advice of a skilled florist. Even if you know someone who's good at flower arranging, creating bridal bouquets, headdresses and other floral accesories demands the expertise of a fully trained specialist. Make an appointment with your florist two or three months before your wedding and bring along any visual references to your wedding gown, the bridesmaids dresses, your veil; ideally samples of the material and even an idea of your intended hairstyle, this will enable your florist to co- ordinate the style, design and colour of flowers with your outfit and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day. You can discuss your ideas and the inclusion of favourite flowers, plus of course, the important question of cost. However much you wish to spend, your wedding flowers will be tailored specially for you and you can be assured of inspired design and top quality workmanship.

Bridal Bouquets. Because every birde is different, your florist will tailor - make your bridal bouquet and wedding flowers to suit you. The size, style, shape and colour of your bouquet will be created to compliment your dress, your figure and your complexion, helping you to look your very best on the day. Using a florist will ensure that your bouquet is not only beautiful, but practical too, correctly constructed so that it's easy to hold and containing properly condtioned flowers, ensuring the bouquet lasts perfectly throughout the day.

Bridesmaids. The flowers for "attendants" usually compliment the bridal bouquet; for Flowergirls, small, easy to carry posies or baskets are ideal for little hands, and are certain to charm the guests!

Buttonhloes & Corsages. It is traditional for the Groom, Best Man, Usher and key men of the families to wear buttonholes, whilst mothers and ladies wear corsages to match the bridal party or their own outfit.

Decorations for the church & reception. Arangements for the church may include stunning pedestals, decorations for the entrance, lectern and pulpit, decorations for the pew ends, or even garlands for pillars. The choice of venue will influence the style of flowers for your reception. Something special for the top table, with complimentary arrangements for the guests tables, all add to the romance of the day. Even the wedding cake be graced with an exquisite little flower arrangement, perfectly matched to the bride's bouquet.

We recommend that you discuss your requirements for your big day by phoning, faxing or E-mailing us giving your ideas together with the location and date; we will be delighted to give you a quotation.

Alternatively, if you live locally, phone our shop for an appointment to discuss your requests for your wedding day with one of our in house designers.
